What we do with your email
The short version: if you join the waitlist we keep your email address so we can tell you when Float launches. We don't sell it, we don't advertise to you on anyone else's behalf, and you can have it deleted whenever you like by asking.

Who we are
Float is a trading name of Float Coffee & Kitchen Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13237075, registered office 2 Valentine Way, Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, HP8 4JB.
We are the data controller for the information described here. For anything to do with your data, email admin@float-coffee.co.uk.
What we collect
Only what the signup form and the link you arrived on actually provide. There is no tracking beyond this, and no third-party analytics of any kind.

That is the complete list. We do not ask for your name, we do not build a profile of what you looked at, and we do not track you across other websites.
About IP addresses. We don't collect or keep your IP address ourselves — it is not in our database and we never see it. But like any website, the companies that host us record it briefly in their request logs, for security and to keep the service running. On our current plans those logs are deleted automatically: Vercel after one hour, and Supabase after one day. We can't retrieve an IP address from them, and we don't try to.
Why we use it
- To manage the waitlist and your place in it
- To send you occasional updates about Float's progress
- To invite you to the beta when it opens
- To see which campaigns bring people in, so we know where to spend our effort
Our lawful basis
Consent. You gave it by entering your email and submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or email us. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Who else handles it
Three suppliers process this data on our behalf, under contract, and only on our instructions. None of them may use it for their own purposes.

Your personal data is stored and processed in the UK and EU. We do not transfer it anywhere else.
How long we keep it
Until Float launches and you've had a reasonable chance to use your invitation, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If the project doesn't go ahead, we delete the whole list.
We'll also delete your record if you unsubscribe, unless we need to keep a minimal record that you asked not to be contacted, so we don't accidentally email you again.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete it
- Stop using it, or hand it over in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent, at any time
Email admin@float-coffee.co.uk and we'll action it within one month. There's nothing to prove and no form to fill in.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We'd rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies at all, and there is no consent banner because nothing stored here is used for advertising, profiling or third-party tracking.
Two things may be stored in your browser. Both exist to make a feature work that you or the person who invited you asked for:

Both stay on your device, are only ever read by this website, and are removed if you clear your browsing data. Neither is shared with anyone.
Campaign tags — the ?utm_… part of a link — are held in memory only while
the page is open and are never written to your device. If you reload
before signing up, we simply lose track of which campaign brought you, which we accept.
We use no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party trackers. Fonts are served from this website rather than from Google Fonts, so loading a page doesn't tell anyone else you visited — the site makes no requests to third-party domains at all.
Changes
If we change how any of this works we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we still hold your email, we'll tell you by email.
